An awareness of the pain of others we share this world with is a valuable way to keep our own struggles in perspective. Fully experiencing our own hurt is the gateway to compassion toward other human beings.
Feelings of loss, loneliness and fear are universal. Regardless of how or why you feel lets us know what it is to be human, to be conscious of why we are. This can only be deepened by our own experiences. Accepting our emotions and allowing ourselves to feel connects us to all human beings.
